MorphixLiveKiosk 0.04 and mbuild
posted by bms on Tuesday November 20, @06:28PM
from the webserver-at-last dept.
News MorphixDev writes "MorphixLiveKiosk is a Morphix CD, based on the previous LiveCDs released by LiveCD.net. It is a LiveCD that contains a locked down version of firefox-browser. Boot the computer using the LiveCD and you can use the browser - nothing else (well apart from a screensaver), close the brower and all the viewing history is deleted from memory.

MorphixLiveKiosk is easy to build, but we want to make life even easier. Thats where mbuild joins the party, As a webservice mbuild will generate a customised kiosk LiveCD, based upon your Branding, Graphics, Homepage and plugins (java and flash) - all for £25.

from the built-with-two-commands dept.
Releases MorphixDev writes "A minor update to MorphixLiveKiosk. The Minimize and Restore buttons are no longer visible on the browser. The Close button is still visible, this is used for reseting the browser and clearing the cache. (Screenshot)

If you are building your own version, just rebuild the MiniModule, using the updated template MorphixMini-KioskSetting.xml - (sid versions only)"

News bms writes "I have re-launched livecd.org - to act as a news site for LiveCDs, including Morphix LiveCDs. I still have to tidy up some of the templates.

By the way - I am running it on debian-sarge. This machine is running via a single IP addreess. My normal-sites are via apache2, livecd, org is via apache(1). Slashcode prefers apache rather than apache2. One machine, two webservers, one port 80."

I'm not a robot like you. I don't like having disks crammed into me... unless they're Oreos, and then only in the mouth. -- Fry
